The Kenyan Community in Western Australia (KCWA) is set to host a landmark event — the commissioning ceremony and fundraiser for the much-anticipated Kenyan Community Centre, “Kenya House”. This historic celebration will take place on 18th October 2025 at 2:00 PM, at 213 Kingsway Darch, WA 6065.
This milestone is not just about laying the foundation of a building — it’s about laying the foundation for generations of Kenyans in Australia. The centre will serve as a cultural hub, a meeting place, and a beacon of unity, reflecting the values of peace, love, and togetherness. The event also coincides with Mashujaa Day, adding a powerful layer of meaning as the community honours the heroes who have paved the way for today’s diaspora.
Guests will be treated to a vibrant program featuring a barbecue, music, and inspiring addresses from key community leaders and dignitaries. The atmosphere promises to be festive yet meaningful, offering a chance for families, youth, professionals, and elders to come together, network, and play an active role in shaping the future of the Kenyan diaspora in Western Australia.
As part of the day’s program, KCWA will hold a fundraiser to support the construction of the centre. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help build a lasting legacy. Donations can be made through the official website at www.kenyancommunityinwa.com.
This is more than just an event — it’s a call to action. It’s a chance to be part of history, to invest in the community’s future, and to come together in a spirit of celebration, solidarity, and pride.
