This opportunity is perfect for native Swahili speakers within our diaspora who are passionate about teaching and preserving our cultural heritage through language.
The role involves one-on-one general Swahili lessons for a 12-year-old student, set over a 20-hour course. Classes will be held once a week on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm, beginning on 14 October 2025, in Liverpool (postcode 2170). This is not just an opportunity to teach—it is also a chance to strengthen the bond between generations by passing on Swahili to young learners growing up in Australia.

For Kenyans in Australia, opportunities like this highlight the importance of maintaining our language and traditions even as we build new lives abroad. Swahili is more than just a language—it is a vital part of our identity, and teaching it to younger generations helps ensure its survival for years to come.
