IN MEMORIAM: Honouring the Life of Madeline Jeruto

The Kenyan community in Australia is mourning the loss of 25-year-old international student Madeline Jeruto, who passed away in Adelaide after a long health battle. Originally from Nandi County, Kenya, Madeline had only been in Australia for a few weeks when she suffered a stroke in 2023. Her passing on 26 June 2025 has sparked a community-led appeal to repatriate her body for burial back home.
