This weekend in Adelaide, Kenyan-Australian advocate Emily Korir was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her outstanding contributions to disability support and multicultural inclusion. As co-founder of BET Group, Emily turned personal challenges into a mission to empower others—locally and globally. She is now working to build Kenya’s first accessible respite home for children with disabilities, extending her impact beyond borders.
