The Kenyan diaspora in Australia came together once again for Social Junction 7th Edition, an event that has grown into one of the community’s most anticipated gatherings. Held in a warm and lively atmosphere, the occasion drew a strong turnout of Kenyans eager to connect, share, and celebrate their collective identity abroad.

A standout feature of the day was an interactive session with a registered Migration Agent, who provided insights on key migration concerns and opportunities facing the diaspora. As part of this engagement, it was announced that all Kenyans in Australia can now access a $100 voucher for services from SNS Migration, a partnership designed to make professional migration advice more accessible.

Beyond information-sharing, the event also reinforced the importance of community support. Attendees contributed generous donations, which organisers said are critical in sustaining the continuity and impact of future Social Junction editions.

The event closed on a reflective note, with reminders on the importance of mental health awareness within the diaspora. “Talk to someone when you need to. Mental health matters. Let’s stay healthy together,” was the parting message shared with participants, underscoring the community’s commitment to collective well-being.

As the Kenyan-Australian community looks ahead, Social Junction continues to serve as both a celebration of culture and a platform for building stronger, healthier connections in the diaspora.
